Story
We're lacing up our running shoes to take on the stunning (but steep!) Sheffield Half Marathon for aspiring students in foster care who want to study at University and create their own futures.
We believe that anyone who is offered a place to study at University deserves the same opportunities and support they need to succeed. Care leavers often face difficulties that other students just don't have to consider, for example knowing you have guaranteed accommodation 365 days a year, or that you have someone to speak to for support when you can't just call home for a chat after a stressful day.
£10 could pay for a ticket to a gig during Freshers’ Week.
£70 could hire a graduation gown for a student’s graduation ceremony.
£110 could pay a student’s membership fee for the Snow Sports Society, plus three hours of tuition to get them started.
£200 could allow a student to take a two-week voluntary placement, vital for their CV.
Please donate today and help us make a huge difference to someone's life.
With your help we can support every student who comes to Hallam from foster care background to ensure they have the emotional support and financial security they need to transform their lives. Thank you.
