Gerald Eve LLP have entered two intrepid teams into the Marie Curie, Great Escape Challenge. Set in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, the Great Escape Challenge takes people out of the office and into the great outdoors!! 60 corporate teams of four will go head to head on a multi-sport adventure, testing minds, challenging bodies and building team spirit - but only the team with the right combination of skills will succeed. www.greatescapechallenge.com/

Marie Curie Cancer Care is a UK charity, dedicated to the care of people with cancer and other terminal illnesses. Ten key facts:
1. Founded in 1948 - the same year as the NHS.
2. There are more than 2,000 Marie Curie Nurses in the UK.
3. Marie Curie Cancer Care has 9 hospices.
4. Last year they cared for more than 29,000 terminally ill patients.
5. Providing a Marie Curie Nurse in a patient's home for 1 hour costs £20.
6. The charity spends more than £83m a year on its care and research activities.
7. All their services are always free to patients and their families.
8. Scientists funded by Marie Curie Cancer Care are continually pushing world class research into the causes and treatment of cancer.
9. They conduct palliative care research to find better ways of caring for terminally ill people.
10. More than 5,000 people volunteer to help them regularly, and a further 164,000 volunteer at least once a year.
