Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page:
I have supported Orphans in Need for many years and have always been drawn to trying to make a difference to a poor orphan’s life.
Last week, devastatingly, we received the shattering news that my beautiful 11 year old son has leukaemia - a type of blood cancer. A week ago we were living normal lives, with us both working and our 3 healthy children were back at school.
Yusuf had just started high school and with his huge hunger to learn ,was excited about his new prospects. We had made plans to explore this in the coming weeks. He was well alhumdulillah but his lack of appetite and slight tiredness felt unusual to me and my motherly instinct made me pursue this.
He had his blood test and went to school as normal, even attended his Hifz class Masha Allah after school. Close to midnight I received the dreaded phone call that he needed immediate hospital admission. Within 24 hrs we were admitted into intensive care and have made the cancer ward our new residence since 😔
How life can change in an instance...... watching my son go through the difficult treatments and enduring the associated complications is mentally exhausting and physically difficult for him. My once healthy, energetic full of life boy has now succumbed to the medications being pumped through him.
Alhumdulillah, this is Allahs will and we have to tread this journey with patience. I believe Allah swt will bestow his mercy on Yusuf and this will be behind us one day Insha Allah. He has so much support from his family and friends alhumdulillah.
During these difficult times we become closer to Allah and submit ourselves in worship in abundance...... sadaqah is also important and something we have been mindful of. I have set this page up in Yusuf’s name Insha Allah. all the donations will be a sadqah for him and intend to achieve something positive out of this experience.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is reported to have said, “The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this,” and he held his two fingers together to illustrate. (Sahih al-Bukhari)
Lets support these orphans. Some of these maybe suffering with conditions like Yusuf however will sadly have no help at all. My heart breaks when I think of them........ how would their mothers be feeling?
Finally, please remember my Yusuf in your sincere Duas....... Ya Allah, please heal my precious boy, please allow him to travel this journey with minimal hardship and complications.... Ya Allah You are the Healer, the Merciful - please help us through this 🤲
