Story
I have this little friend, Greta, who is not only a wonderful, inspirational person, but she works for a small charity in London. One day she appealed on Facebook for anyone wanting to raise money for NAM (details below) by running 10k in London in July. Being someone who likes a challenge, I thought 'yes, that sounds like a great idea!'
So I looked down at my huge belly, and my unfit body, and realised what a massive undertaking this is. I have 2 months to go from 'chubby mummy' to 'ripped runner'.
A very wise person once told me that it is often the smallest charities who do the most valuable and revolutionary work, so if you have a spare moment and a spare few quid, it would be amazing if you could sponsor me. Not only would it be a huge motivation to me, but it would help NAM to help a lot of men, women and children.
I promise to keep you updated with my progress!
NAM is a small HIV information charity based in London. The team at NAM work to change lives by sharing information about HIV. You can find out more about NAM and the HIV information resources they produce on their website, www.aidsmap.com
The team at NAM believe that, wherever you are in the world, having independent, clear and accurate information is vital in the fight against HIV. Their aim is to create and share information resources rooted in the experience of those most affected by HIV, enabling individuals and communities to take action and control in responding to HIV.
