Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a debilitating disease for which there is no cure about three years ago and I have vision, balance and fatigue issues to name but a few. I was introduced to Oceans of hope through my local ms society at a time I was feeling very lost.

Oceans of hope give people with ms the opportunity to sail... we meet new people with ms, make special memories, get to try new things making us challange ourselves and overcome our limitations. They give us hope.

I am hoping to lose 50 lb in weight over the next 5 months for Oceans of hope and I'm asking friends and family to support me and help a cause that is very special to myself and other sufferers of ms.....10p a pound = a fiver... and I get healthier too...well that's the plan..

Everyone with ms should experience Oceans of hope

Oceans of Hope UK runs sailing events for people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). MS is a chronic condition where the body attacks the brain and nervous system. MS leads to physical, cognitive and emotional challenges many of which are not obvious and are difficult to explain. Oceans of Hope (UK) unites people with MS by working cooperatively in a sailing environment to overcome significant challenges. The events have helped participants to find strength and confidence, reigniting their desire to once again live their lives to the full rather than feeling limited by their disease.
