Story
The charity was nominated earlier this year by Neil Burton,
who has kindly taken some time below to tell us why we should all get behind this worthy cause…
Smith Magenis Syndrome (SMS) is a very rare syndrome with 1 in 25000 world wide being diagnosed. The symptoms of SMS include:
1.Mild through to profound learning disability
2.Severely disrupted sleep pattern.
3.Delayed speech and language skills.
4.Behaviours that challenge like self harm, aggression, impulsivity and hyperactivity.
To name a few.
Raising money for the charity to raise awareness is something close to my heart as my daughter suffers with this syndrome. What better way to kick off awareness by buying a ticket for the sweepstake. The smallest donations make the biggest to difference to hundreds of families like mine and we are very grateful.
Anyone that’s knows me or Mila will know she is the loveliest girl with the biggest heart, without the SMS charity basic things like equipment to keep her safe would be out of reach.
