MEALS FOR SRI LANKA, 14 April 2022
We raise money & awareness to lift children & women out of poverty

Story

Sri Lanka is currently going through the worst economic crisis it has ever experienced. Because of this, food prices are rising, medicine is getting harder and harder to come by, and people are dying due to a lack of resources and access to basic life necessities. This is especially true in the north and east of Sri Lanka, where the civil war and the pandemic has worsened already poor living conditions.

The Serendip Charity is dedicated to providing sustainable & critical assistance and empowering the most vulnerable in society in the north & east of Sri Lanka. Serendip Charity was established as a UK registered charity in May 2009, just after the end of the civil war, in response to the cry for help from orphaned & destitute children and widows in the north and east of Sri Lanka, but they have expanded to provide aid to so many more people. Today, we are supporting their meal delivery program, which provides dry food ration packages to those who need it most. For $15, they can feed a person for a month. For $160, they can feed someone for a year.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

As we celebrate the new year, we ask that you remember our people back home and help us support them today.

With gratitude,

Osgoode TLSA and Ryerson TLSA
