My sister Suzie died on Saturday on Saturday 15th February, aged 47. She had spent the last 26 years of her life with her friends and carers at Waring Close, Glenfield in Leicester - a home run  Macintyre Care. We had the funeral on Friday 20th at Gilroes Crematorium in Leicester, just a mile from where she lived.

The team at Macintyre looked after Suzie wonderfully for so many years and allowed her to lead a very full life, helping out in the kitchen, going on holidays, going to the cinema and the theatre, watching Leicester City, and perhaps her favourite - visiting the pub on a regular basis!

As the funeral was a quiet affair - especially under the current circumstances - we decided not to ask for flowers, and so somewhat belatedly I have decided that it would be appropriate to raise some money for Macintyre Care in Suzie's name. Thank you for contributing.
