My friend and work colleague Irving had a serious cycling accident in October 2012 which left him a tetraplegic, paralysed from the chest down. He's been a dedicated cyclist for years and I've been a dedicated horse rider and we often used to joke about who'd fall off first. Not so much of a joke now so I want to do something, however small, to help take some of the difficulties away.
