Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I decided to raise money for the Head Injury Charity, Headway in memory of my mum and for my Grandaughter. I have Braved the Shave.

I lost my mum , Nora Colley when I was 15.  She passed away following years of suffering with a brain tumour and epilepsy because of the tumour.  I remember my mum being very poorly. The epilepsy caused by her tumour massively impacted on her short life. She sadly passed away in her 40s leaving behind her husband, myself (aged 15) and her son (aged 8). I believe that if the charity had been around at the time my mum was unwell they could have improved her quality of life.

My Grandaughter  at the age of 12 was sadly diagnosed with a brain tumour. I am pleased to say that thanks to the great care of the NHS she is still with us.  She has been left with disabilities but has been free from cancer for 10 years.  Headway have supported Megan and her family.

I would really love to reach my target and would appreciate any donation  that you can make whether big or small.
