The SurveYOUR Podcast LionHeart Fundraiser

James and Jon have never really suffered any major hardships and are often children of first-world problems and as they watch the situation unfold around the world, and currently, in Ukraine, they sit here feeling helpless and useless! 

At the SurveYOUR podcast, we know of friends and colleagues who have family in all world regions and so we are trying to do something within our ability and skill set that may make a small difference and we have teamed up with LionHeart to raise awareness about how we can support our fellow surveyors.

PLEASE NOTE

LionHeart is unable to specifically separate or allocate every penny given through The SurveYOUR Podcast into any one specific cause or appeal, so, whilst we know LionHeart will be discussing and supporting enquiries that come from members and their families in Ukraine, The SurveYOUR Podcast is focusing on raising funds generically and some of which we know will go toward supporting our fellow surveyors in difficult circumstances.  However, in our mind, this is not about the detail, but about boosting the funds LionHeart has available to be able to step up the needs of those impacted by terrible situations.  At the SurveYOUR podcast, we do not have the ability, skillset or logistics to manage any funds we raise and feel this is best left to the experts at LionHeart to allocate to our colleagues in whatever need they have.

We will be checking in with LionHeart over the coming weeks and months to see how things are progressing and hopefully hear of some great opportunities they have had to support our friends, colleagues and their families.

“Surveyors affected by the situation in Ukraine are being encouraged to contact LionHeart so they can explore ways to help. We know there are RICS professionals and APC candidates living and working in Ukraine who will be directly affected, along with their families. There will also be many more Ukrainian nationals who are living and working elsewhere with loved ones they are desperately worried for.  LionHeart’s support officers are poised to answer helpline calls and email enquiries from any RICS professional concerned about Ukraine, whether they are in the region themselves or have family members there. They are already helping several people affected by the current
situation and will continue to do so.

LionHeart is here to provide practical and emotional support to surveyors across the world, including those dealing with unforeseen circumstances, emergencies, and disaster situations, like the current situation in Ukraine.
