We run clubs to improve lives of children & young people

Story

Simon first became a Patron of Superkidz with Wendy in 2015 and since then was a keen supporter of Superkidz's work with children, young people and thair families. He was keen to make sure that children were encouraged to believe in themselves, do well in education, and resist the gang violence and drug economy that threatens families living on estates in Eltham.

Superkidz engages in mentoring, runs youth and children's groups, a young offenders' group and Sisters of Success. One mark of the charity's progress is that many who benefited are now working as its local community leaders and workers. Their lived experience means that Superkidz remains on up to date with the most pressing issues, and the workers also act as role models for the young people.

All donations in memory of Simon will be go into a memorial fund used to provide outings, sporting equipment and activities. Hire of a five-a-side pitch at "Goals" for special sessions and training costs us £40 each time as a charity, and we always need football boots for the young people. We also currently need a replacement pool table. Occasional outings, for instance to the golf range, help build morale and team working. Your donations will be hugely valuable in providing chances for young people that they wouldn't normally have.

Your donations will also be used to fund a Simon Foreman Memorial Cup which will be engraved and presented annually to the young person who has made most progress in sport.
