I'm really disappointed to announce that due to a foot injury I'm having to defer my participation in the Marathon to 2024. As soon as the injury is sorted I will start my training again. Scott will still be running, so please cheer him on! Sue xx

Sue and Scott's story:

Back in 2009 and 2010 I, (Sue) ran the London Marathon for Cancer Research.  Since then, it is fair to say I've lost some of the running fitness and 12/13 years have passed.  This year, I have decided to run it again with Scott for the fabulous charity - Dreams Come True.

This is Scott's first marathon but he has run every day for the last 7 years, so we are coming at this from very different fitness angles!!!

We are looking to raise over £4000 between us (£5000 would be even better) to provide the opportunity for young people to escape to their dreams.  We believe it is worth getting back off the sofa and pushing ourselves to our limits to help these children, who through no fault of their own, are pushed to theirs.  Please do sponsor us.

We are passionate about delivering moments of magic and having a lasting impact on those who might not even consider having a dream come true.

The children we support are living in the highest areas of deprivation in the country, and are living with a disability, a serious illness, or a life-limiting condition.

These children need our attention.

Dreams Come True are a national charity whose mission is to enrich the lives of children with serious and life-limiting conditions living in the highest areas of deprivation in the country, by fulfilling their dreams. For some, a dream could be to meet their heroes or spend a couple of days away to forget their troubles.
