Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My story started in May 2010 when I had a bad fall from my horse and broke my leg.
I had to give up something I loved and have had years of pain. My final surgery after metal work being removed was July 2016, a knee replacement. This was a difficult choice to make as that is it now, I can't have another knee if this doesn't work out or anymore surgery. The next stop would be amputation so it's been quite mentally and physically hard to deal with.
I saw this challenge and it finishes in Paris on my 50th birthday. My fitness and weight is shocking so I thought what a challenge and what a goal! So here I am, the start of the journey.
I've already had masses of support and encouragement and am truly touched by everyone's commitment to help me achieve this goal.
It's for a great cause and I can't think of a better way to celebrate reaching 50 than cycling to the Eiffel Tower with a dodgy leg and sore bum 😀
