Helen was our 'Dancing Queen' and taken from us so quickly after a brave battle with Pancreatic Cancer. I am part of a small group of her friends who have been raising money since March, in her memory, known as 'Life's too Short - fund raising for Cancer' (see our Facebook page). L2S for short).  Helen was only 68 when she was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and her 13 week battle was so aggressive and heart breaking to watch...too sad for words.   But through it all Helen, even though she was in massive pain,  was only concerned about others. She felt  so guilty for disrupting their lives. That's what she was like!!  Selfless, considerate, giving, loving, generous and a person you would want to call a friend.  We can't let her go without doing something good for such a wonderful person. We are working together with the University of Liverpool who are developing a blood screening program so that the cancer can be detected early and that is where this money will be going.  Every donation, small or large, will make a big difference.
