Story
I am running the UK Ultra South Downs 100km on May Bank Holiday Weekend ( https://www.ukultra.co.uk/ )to raise money for WOLO, who quite simply carry out incredible work within Sussex for local families affected by Cancer.
Having got into running just 18 months ago as a way to get fit, I've found it a wonderful way to raise money for WOLO and to keep pushing myself - physically and mentally (sometimes emotionally).
Since starting my running journey, I've got a Half Marathon under my belt and the tortuous Beachy Head Marathon but not one to stand still when it comes to raising money for WOLO - Thought it would be a Proper Test of my Mind, Body & Soul to sign up for my First Ultra (apparently people start Ultra's at 50km not 100km - who knew ?).
Come Sunday the 30th May, my mind and body will be set on completing the 'undulating' course from Arundel to Eastbourne along side my fellow WOLO Runners.
We'll be mostly running along the South Downs Way, there's a few hills along the way - have a nose at the gallery for the route.

Wolo Foundation help families living in Sussex through their cancer journeys. They support them by offering practical help and support to make their day-to-day lives easier. They work with local businesses and communities to offer families a wealth of services to support them through their diagnosis, treatment and beyond. Statistics show that 1 in 2 people in the UK born after 1960 will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Life is precious - we need to make the most of it - we only live once - WOLO!
