Story
On April 30th Storable will be celebrating Adopt a Shelter Pet Day by raising $1,500 to Adopt a Kennel at the Austin Humane Society (AHS)!
Last year, the Storable kennel provided shelter for 97 animals in need. Your donations are saving lives. Just take a look at some of your residents' stories from the past year:
- Misty came to AHS from Baytown Animal Control during the AHS Hurricane Laura response, when we were working to clear shelters closer to the point of impact. Misty spent a little while in foster to recover from a case of fleas before finding her forever home with a loving family. Her new family takes her to the park every day and she loves to snuggle with her two new human siblings!
- Bear and Boo are an adorable bonded pair of smaller senior dogs. These pups loved to create nests of their bedding and talk to each other in their own special language! Because of their anxiety when apart, we hoped to adopt them together. A few months after they arrived at AHS, they went home together with an adopter who loves their individual quirks!
Serving our community since 1952, the Austin Humane Society (AHS) is the longest standing no-kill shelter in Austin. AHS transforms the lives of animals and the people who love them through life-saving programs that find animals homes, serve animals and people in times of crisis, prevent future homelessness through spay and neuter, and engage the community to be a part of the solution. Over the past year, AHS has unleashed hope for over 10,000 animals thanks to the generosity of supporters like Storable employees.
