St. Nicholas’ Church lies at the heart of the community of Blundellsands and Brighton-le-Sands and our well-integrated and socially-mixed congregation mirrors that community. We aim to be an open and welcoming church always looking for ways to widen the appeal and accessibility of our worship to all age groups, whether they favour tradition or less formal ways to worship.  Some of our mission is fulfilled by holding various events to combat social isolation and by supporting our local food bank.

Following our latest stage of Restoration, our Heritage Programme has made great efforts to put St. Nicholas' back at the heart of the community enabling visitors to appreciate our historic Grade II Listed building. 

We are mindful that even further work is needed to secure financial stability during the COVID-19 crisis when loss of income from various sources is having a serious impact.

Our aim is to continue to fulfill our Christian mission for the church and the wider community.
