Story
I don't normally do sponsored stuff - let's face it, I enjoy running, so who's going to sponsor me to run a marathon? But I fancied a different challenge in 2016 and I thought it might just be stupid enough to persuade good people like you to hand over some cash. So I'm going to try to run two marathons (Manchester and Brighton) a week apart and cycle from one to the other. Conveniently, it's about 262 miles on the bike (OK, it'll probably be more, given my map-reading, but it won't be less), so I'm calling it the 262 challenge - 2 lots of 26.2 miles on my feet and 262 miles on my bike.
I'm raising money for Global Justice Now - I've been campaigning with Global Justice Glasgow (the local group) for more than 20 years now and I think we do good stuff, even if we haven't fixed all the problems in the world quite yet. There's more info about GJN on this page and you can also see more of what we do in Glasgow at http://groups.globaljustice.org.uk/glasgow/ or https://www.facebook.com/globaljusticeglasgow.
Go on, throw us a few quid - you know it makes sense.
