Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi, i would like to take this opportunity to thank you all who have donated so far, the walk was very challenging due to the weather, the rain was like ice on your face and the wind felt as if i was standing on an airoplanes wings while it was still flying. but it was all worthwhile and I'm glad i did it.

Sadly my Nana(Gran) passed away on monday morning 26th. I never got to tell her personally how we got on during the walk(though my mum told her on the sunday that we had completed it,though she could only manage a smile i'm sure she would have been very proud of both Ian and I for what we achieved).

So on behave of Ian, myself and all our family,i would like to thank you all for the messages of encouragement, and your generous donations, it will help us get by this very sad time and will keep my grans legacy going for a very long time.

Last but certainly not least i would like to thank the nurses and carers who supported my Mum and Papa during the last few weeks of my Nanas life your work will never go unaccounted for and as long as live i will be raising funds for cancer awareness.

So if you havent donated yet, and would like to, this site will be running until january,so please tell as many people as possible.

Thank you all so much, Steven.XXX

I'm walking up ben nevis on saturday the 24th of this month, along with my Cousin Ian Knox and recently got bad news that our gran has been diagnosed with  cancer, and as she is 85 she's unfortunately too weak to undergo any treatment, so basically there is nothing anyone can do, apart from making her life as comfortable as possible, she is weaker by the day and we dont know how long she has left. With your helpful donation we can help all other people who might be fortunate enough and able to undergo treatment. My nana(gran)s name is Margaret and gets known as Maggie so i thought it would be more wothwhile to donate this walk to "Maggies".

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

A BIG BIG THANKS....Steven McGowan & Ian Knox
