Story
Steve was tragically taken from us whilst out riding his bike on 25th March 2016. Steve sadly passed away at the scene dispute the efforts of the medical personnel. The Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance were in attendance.
The Air Ambulance has attended over 25,000 incidents and continues to be available to every person living, working and travelling through our counties, should they ever need it. The charity exists to relieve sick and injured people in South East England and surrounding areas by providing a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) and Air Ambulance Service for the benefit of the community.
Steve who was born in Beckenham, was a keen sportsman and began
training at Greenwich Tritons. He later became a member of the Sidcup
Cycle Centre, Bexley Masters Swimming Club, Nemes Nutters Swimming Club, VC Elan and CS Avanti.
In recent years, Steve was happiest on his bike, flying along with his fellow club members, and enjoyed a real ale, he also made his own. He would look forward to coming home to a bottle of real, proper beer.
Steve was sadly due to retire in a matter of weeks, and would have celebrated his 59th birthday on Monday, May 23.
"He had such a love for life. Tragically his colourful life has been cut far
too short, and we will all miss him ever so much.
Our only comfort is that he left this world doing something he truly
loved.
Steve,s funeral will be held on 22nd April at Eltham Crematorium, 12.30
