Michael Page has a proud track record in actively supporting a Charity of the Year as chosen by our employees. This year our partner is Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSHCC). This means even more to me as I serve on the Corporate Partnership Board at GOSHCC. For those who don’t know, Great Ormond Street Hospital was founded in 1852 and is one of the world’s leading Children’s hospitals. It receives more than 200,000 patient visits every year from children all over the world. For many of the children treated at the hospital it’s their last and only hope.

GOSHCC faces a mountainous task of raising £50million every year for 5 years to rebuild this famous and incredibly valuable hospital. Michael Page is looking to do its bit and provide enough funds-a £six figure sum- for a new adolescent’s recreation room.

My fundraising ambitions are no less mountainous and nor is the challenge. In October this year, I will be leading a group of 100 of my employees to conquer the Yorkshire Three Peaks – Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside & Ingleborough. No mean feat in itself but we also have to walk to each in turn before climbing and I am really not good with heights!! As we are limited by hours of light we are aiming to complete this arduous 25 mile hike in under 12 hours and in return raise a minimum of £15,000.
