Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, and especially those who have donated so far, and anyone who might do the same in the future. I'm hoping that with everyone's kind donations that I can far exceed the target I originally set.

Most of you who visit this page will already know me, but if not I'm 48 years old (ok the photo is from 6 years ago) and I'm a keen walker, going on regular walking holidays with my wife Donna. My 20 year old son has no interest, but we don't hold it against him...lol

Well we completed the walk up Ben Nevis, from start to finish we took 7.5hrs including our lunch stop on the summit, and were particularly pleased to reach the summit in less than 4hrs. An achievement as the last 1,000ft or so was slow walking on compacted ice. I'm very keen to support Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice as it provides a fantastic service to the local community, serving the needs of very ill children and their families.

Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice receives no statutory government funding. It costs £2.5 million a year just to keep the hospice open. Every penny is vital and all donations received helps the hospice keep helping children with life-limiting conditions across the region. Whether your donation is for £1 which could help a child breathe more easily with an oxygen mask, or £500 which pays for 24hrs of care for a Bluebell Wood family, every little really does help.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
