Story
I finally did it! On the sixth attempt on Monday 26th June. After an aborted journey the weekend before because the plane wouldn't start we travelled down on a glorious sunny day and in with no further issues with weather or plane I took to the skies at around 3.00pm. Ten minutes of exhilaration! The difficult bit was getting on and off the top of the wing. A huge thank you to everyone for supporting this venture for the PeerTalk charity. It has taken a long time to get it done but well worth it in the end. I hope you enjoy the photos. Thank you.
It was raining again!!! The saga goes on! We did get as far as near the airfield before it was cancelled. Due to my own diary commitments the new date has to be Sunday 18th June... Fathers Day! I am very grateful for all the support and I look forward to sharing the photos of the Wing Walk soon.
Postponed again!!! The weather is the issue with April showers being too showery. So the next new date is Saturday 6th May when hopefully all the conditions will be just perfect. I thank everyone for their support and I will be posting/emailing the photos as soon as I have done it.
Due to poor weather the 'Wing Walk' has been postponed again until Saturday 15th April when hopefully it will be a sunny day. Thank you for being patient and for all your support.
The Wing Walk has been rescheduled to Saturday 1st April 2023! The event was postponed from last September due to the plane needing a spare part from the USA. Everything is now ready for the Wing Walk to take place this April 1st. Thank you to all who have supported this so far and for being patient whilst we have waited... but it won't be long now!
Stephen says, 'The challenge of doing this Wing Walk is more than a bit daunting but your help supporting the work that PeerTalk does will make it worthwhile'.
