Welcome to Steph & Jake's mission to raise awareness, support, funds for research and hopes for a cure for everyone with mitochondrial disease. Mum and son, Steph & Jake deal with the progressive impact of mito daily. Please support them - thank you.

Story

Our missions are run by families affected by mitochondrial disease, mito for short. MILLIONS in the UK have illnesses which also involve mitochondrial damage - diabetes, MS, stroke, some cancers & many more. More research into mitochondrial disease could help so many, not only those with mito.

Jake and I both suffer from mito but in very different ways.  Since having COVID-19 earlier this year Jake has been struggling much more and as a parent, seeing your child struggle to do simple everyday things like walking is absolutely heartbreaking.

I am unable to do physical things to raise money due to my pain but I am going to have my head shaved.  I am doing this to raise awareness of this largely unheard of illness and also to raise money to fund research to find cures and treatments for mitochondrial disease.

Please give whatever you can to spur me onto do this huge, crazy challenge
