Story
Our daughter, Stella, was born at 28 weeks via emergency C-Section on Tuesday 27 September 2022 at 2:19pm, weighing 2lb 4oz. Sadly, her condition was very poor and she died, peacefully in our arms, on Saturday 1 October.
We will never forget the incredible care our family has received at Homerton University Hospital: from the midwife whose gut instinct, experience and professionalism meant we had any time with our baby girl at all; to the incredible consultant who was doing her emails at 2:06pm and delivering our child at 2:19; and to the many amazing midwives and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit consultants, doctors and nurses who contributed to Stella's outstanding care and treated us with such immense compassion.
We know that people will want to get in touch and offer their support, and we will most certainly need that. We would prefer not to receive cards or flowers, so in lieu of those we would like to invite anyone who wishes to to make a donation to Homerton Hope in Stella's honour. We have requested that all money donated is shared between the Birth Centre who brought our daughter into the world, and the NICU who cared so brilliantly for her.
Thank you,
Christian, Victoria and Stella
