Story

Our Papa went into hospital one November day and came out with a shocking diagnosis. Stage 4 cancer. As a family we were devastated. A couple of months went by where he was still walking, until one morning he collapsed. After a week in hospital, he came home to a hospital bed, monitor, oxygen tank.. all the scary things.

He was at home with us for four weeks, being looked after, changed, fed and taken care of by his family and super carers. A couple of days before, he took a turn for the worse, and quickly deteriorated. He sadly passed away, in his home with his family surrounding as he would have wanted.

So as somebody once said "When something bad happens you have three choices. You can either let it define you, let it destroy you, or you can let it strengthen you."

As a lasting memory to our Papa, we would like to give back to those special people who cared for him and raise as money as possible for those who are suffering like he did and to help raise awareness of this ugly disease.

Let's all stand up to cancer.
