Please get your medical check ups, don't ignore them like i did.
A second video is now available which picks up from the first video and describes my family and I's experiences through the first cycle of chemotherapy. Please access via the link below.

I have been allocated palliative care and my first chemotherapy session began on the 25th of January. Prior to the first session I had a ‘Chemo’ talk with the Chemo care nurse allocated to care for me. I was terrified, I did not take in any of the information verbally given to me, the conversation was held in the actual chemo unit, and as such other patients where receiving their respective treatment.
I was scared and confused and could only look at the others. Thankfully my wife was there and did take notice.
The following weekend I became ill (Sunday Jan 30th) , with Helen exercising the information given in the chemo talk, thankfully what transpired after that I believe saved my life. - see update for more information.
When asking the nurses why the talk was given where it was the simple answer was they do not have anything else and no funds to allocate to create a room where information such as the chemo talk can be undertaken.
I want to try and raise money to allow the creation of such a space for the chemo unit at Queens Center, Castle Hill, Hull and the Spire Hospital, Hull. Both hospitals had a major influence on the events of the 30th Jan.
I would like to raise some money to help 'Where the Rubber meets the Road' where it can make such a personal difference to those fighting cancer and those helping them do so.
If you get chance listen to a Foo Fighters track - Times like these, listen to the chorus - what I'm doing will all make sense.
