On Sunday 14th June my son Stanley (Joe) was rescued following a climbing accident in which he sustained multiple injuries. He was climbing with a friend and both are experienced climbers. The team did a fantastic job dealing with his injuries and pain and getting him air lifted to hospital as fast as possible, with the help of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. Joe and his wife have both been training with the Rescue Team for some time, in order to become operating members themselves. They are wonderful people who volunteer in order to save lives on the mountains they all love.
