Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
We are a group of volunteer First Aiders who represent St Andrew's First Aid, Inverclyde Company. We support many local public activities by offering our First Aid skills on a volunteer basis at events such as Greenock Morton Football matches, The Comet Festival, Gourock Highland Games, Gourock Garden Party and many more besides. As well as local events we also support a wider area on a national basis as and when required. these are events such as SPL Football games, Olympic 2012 Games, Merchant City Festival and many other National public events where first aid services are required.
One of the main pieces of equipment we require to enable us to carry out our support to the public more effectively is a Mobile First Aid Post. The Mobile First Aid Post or MFAP offers us exactly what it says on the tin, it allows us to treat casualties more securely, discreetly and effectively. So this piece of equipment is extremely important to us.
However, we are now at a stage whereby we require another vehicle in support of the present, older MFAP we currently have.
The cost of the MFAP with necessary equipment is well over £30,000 and as such, not only are we trying to raise awareness of our need but we are also trying to raise enough funds to purchase a new vehicle and ensure that we can fit it out with the right equipment for it to be fully operational at all events we cover both locally and nationally.
As a group we are planning on cycling the 60 miles from Edinburgh to Glasgow along the canalside through Falkirk and other areas en-route and would like your support to help us reach our goal. So please, if you can, dig deep and offer as much or as little as you can to our cause. Every penny helps!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
