Story

Hi, I'm Laura, one of the Sportive.com writers.

This year has been quite (to say the least) challenging for me. Someone who I love was involved in horrible accident a few months ago. Her new situation has opened my eyes to a whole new world: full of challenges but also of magnificent people. Through her and through her experience I'm learning a lot about how to make it possible to able to see, and then, to create a new (even if different) happy life for oneself and his/her family.

Sports are at the forefront of my priorities at the moment; because that's what my sister's bigger desire is: finding a new way, a new sport... She's always been active, and I am sure that this is helping her now to go in, with full strength and determination, through rehabilitation. Anyway, before I go off topic too much...

I couldn't be more honoured that both Sportive.com and Action 100 are supporting my request by letting me taking part in two of their beautiful rides this year. Hopefully, this will be my initial contribution to build something better and open new doors to at least a few kids!

I will be riding York 100 on the 16th August http://www.action.org.uk/york-100 and Bristol to London on the 30th August http://www.action.org.uk/action-100-bristol-london, hoping to raise £2 for each mile I will be riding. Please help making this real :-)

Happy riding!

Laura & the Sportive.com team
