We support those with life-limiting illness to live well so their families can live on

Story

This page is dedicated to honouring the memory of an extraordinary woman, Spider Desmond. Spider's vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Spider's passing after her courageous battle with cancer. In her final days, the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity provided Spider and her family with exceptional care and unwavering support. The hospice team are a true source of compassion and solace.

To honour Spider's memory and the care she received, we ask that you consider making a donation to the Arthur Rank Hospice in lieu of sending flowers for her funeral. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will help the hospice continue their crucial work, ensuring that other families facing similar circumstances receive the exceptional care Spider received.

Spider's spirit will continue to inspire us, and through our support of the Arthur Rank Hospice, we can help others find comfort and strength in their most challenging moments.
