We support people with PMR & GCA to provide information & meet their needs

Story

According to an article in the Independent in May 2022, Fibromyalgia is ranked as one of the most painful bodily conditions.

Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR) is an acute version of this. It can also lead to temporal arteritis affecting eyesight.

Before Dad had PMR he was larger than life and very active.  He was fun and full of beans dancing and jigging about.

He remained forever our hero and our voice of wisdom.  He was full of mischief and he really made people chuckle.  We will miss his wit and cheer, the joy of his hand poured GnTs, and we will remember the laughter forever.

Watching him feel the impact of this little understood condition was tough for us all.

Please help us learn more about causes and treatment.

Thank you.

We help people with Polymyalgia Rheumatica & Giant Cell Arteritis, & raise awareness about these diseases that can suddenly attack people aged 50+. PMR causes extreme pain in the muscles & joints & affects mobiliity. GCR can cause sudden blindness if not treated immediately. We believe we can save the sight of hundreds of people a year by raising awareness.
