Story
As most of you are aware our daughter lillie-mae was diagnosed with a very rare liver disease at 6 weeks old. She had an operation at 7 weeks old and is continuing to respond well to her treatment.
Being In hospital with a loved one/child is hard enough but being away from home is even harder. We have had 2 long stints in Leeds hospital and we are forever grateful for the care lillie-mae received during those times and her ongoing care.
There was a charity however who helped us with emotional support, food, toiletries and even clothing. Having to drive to Leeds in a rush meant we forgot alot of things !.
The Millie Wright Children's charity supplied us with all our essentials and more ! Including mittens so lillie-mae didn't pull out her feeding tube. They also gifted every family on the ward with a pizza on a Saturday night to try and lift spirits and gather a little bit of normality.
You don't realise how much these small things make such a difference until unfortunately, your in the position so many families find themselves in ... please donate anything you can to help this charity continue to support families in Leeds general infirmary children's hospital 💗
