If you’re reading this you will know of Noreen’s incredible journey since she was born on 2 June 2020. You’ll know it’s been a deeply challenging year for myself and Atif as first time parents. But we are so proud of Nori and admire her resilience and strength so so so much. She’s taught us so much when it should be the other way round! We are so incredibly proud to be Nori’s parents and feel extremely blessed that she chose us to be her mama and daddy. 

To mark her 1st birthday we would like to show our support for a charity that has been a great source of information and support for us. STEPS has also connected us with a number of other parents in similar circumstances who I especially as a mother have turned to for help, support and advice at all times of the day and night when I was riddled with worry about certain things. 

Nori is so lucky to have so many people who care about her. But instead of gifts we would ask that you please donate to STEPS for Nori’s 1st birthday so that they continue their great work. Mine and Atif’s own personal aim is to assist STEPS in providing training to a health professional on the Ponseti Method (to treat foot Talipes - Nori was born with left foot talipes) in a developing country. Whatever we can raise would be amazing but we will make sure a health professional in a developing country is trained on the Method. Whatever difference we can make in Nori’s name will mean so much.
