Story
When we were in lockdown I was quite scared about what was going to happen.
We were at home all the time and mum was going to work to treat patients every day and I was worried if she would be ok.
Writing Song For Hope helped me feel a bit better.
I see homeless people around town all the time and I would never want to be without my bed or dinner.
On DePaul's site I read about the young people they help to get new homes or get out of bad situations. I'm 10 and didn't even know that someone as young as me could be homeless!
Song For Hope is from me to Depaul's #sharehope campaign to help raise as much money as possible to help end homelessness for young people.
If you like my song, or even if you don't, please give what feels right.
Thank you
Love, Scarlett

PS This is a message from Depaul
Donations to Depaul’s #ShareHope campaign give young people experiencing homelessness the chance of a brighter future. For young people who have had a chaotic or traumatic childhood and are facing homelessness, that starts with staff and volunteers nurturing a sense of hope.
Here is
how your money could make a difference:
£5 could enable a vulnerable young person to travel to a place of safety in the home of one of our Nightstop volunteers
£15 could give a young person fleeing domestic abuse a safe place to stay, a shower, laundry facilities and a warm welcome
£25 could provide a homeless young person with a safe bed, warm meal, a listening ear and a package of basic toiletries
£50 could cover the cost of a tablet for a young person so they can apply for jobs, college courses or bid for social housing
