Yetagain our hopes for a glimmer of any good news were blown away in a blink of aneye.

Sadlyboth types of Leukaemia have returned, the most recent sample shows it iscurrently already at10 % in blood samples (5% ALL & 5% AML) in what we nowknow to be less than 2 weeks. This is without doubt clear signs of veryaggressive Leukaemic cells. No further treatments are advised.  Palliative care starts from here on, yes thisis a truly horrendous disease but we will make the most of every moment that wehave with Our Beautiful Princess Skye xxx and continue to help raise awarenessand raise funds with an aim to help find a cure one day.  You can follow Skye’s story from the beginninghere www.facebook.com/SkyesALLSkye'sMummy & Daddy have decided to agree with the Doctors advice, this is not asnap decision these issues have been on the surface along the whole of thisjourney we all just hoped we would not be in this predicament. Therefore Palliative Care startstoday, Skye will start mild chemotherapy at home from tomorrow to help slowdown the progression of the leukaemia to allow as good a quality of life aspossible.

Update....Re-diagnosed 10/02/2014

SADLY IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED TODAY SKYE HAS TWO TYPES OF LEUKAEMIA KNOWN AS
BAL (Biphenotypic Leukaemia / AML & ALL) an extremely rare condition! Skye will need a Bone Marrow Transplant. Bless her :(

Hello to all who are visiting our page, here is our story.......

On Monday the 27th of January 2014, Skye Pie came out in a strange rash small purple dots and small bruises, so panic set in I phoned Daddy and a numerous of others (Skye has a huge family, all close and involved ), I got Grandma on the phone she said do the glass check if they dont go, phone the ambulance. Hence I called the ambulance, the Boys (Skye's big brothers, Riley & Harvey) got ready to go with Grandad and off to the hospital for me and our Lil Puddin. Tests were done and bloods were taken. Got sent upstairs because she had to be admitted, major concern at that point was Meningitis. Hours went past and then 2 doctors and a  nurse sat us down along with Grandma and Nanna, and gave us her results. Skye was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. SHOCK AND DEVASTATION
Our little girl is so tiny and looks so happy its hard to beleive that she is OH SO poorly and she is going to get worse before she gets better.
Being only 4 and a half months, she's a rare case, as only 1 or 2 a year are diagnosed under 1 years old.

She finally started her Chemotherapy on Saturday 1st February 2014 . She has been happier than ever making the staff broody with her gorgeous smile, random nurses pop in and out from all different wards to meet and greet with us and see our little girl who they have heard so much about.

It is lovely that the Staff are so nice and so helpful, no matter how much they have explained they will gladly keep telling us and helping us to understand the situation that has now become our new life.

I know shes a fighter and she will beat this with all of her Family and Friends support, along with the Doctors, Nurses and Candlelighters she will get through it, with a massive smile on her face throughout. Shes so brave and beautiful.

All donations will go to Candlelighters due to their fantastic work with Our Princess Skye Pie and the rest of the children who they help and support.

Please Dig Deep and Give What You Can. Thank you
Love Skye & all her Family & Friends

UPDATE 10/02/2014...Today we got the results back from Skye's Bone Marrow Test. Unfortunately these results are not what we hoped.
Skye's Doctor has advised that Skye not only has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia she is also battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia. This is known as Biphenotypic Acute Leukemia. Skye is considered High risk and will need a bone Marrow Transplant.
This came as a huge shock as Skye seems to be coping so well with the treatment so far.
We are happy that she is at LGI and is receiving the best possible treatment ! Looking at her Smile we just know she can get through anything!    Big THANK YOU TO ALL who have donated so far, PLEASE, remember to use GIFT AID, as every penny counts.
