Story
Having recently been through a COVID-19 period of self-isolation, it has NEVER been more stark to me and my family how vital it is to have people around you who care. But let's be realistic - not everyone has that luxury.
Child Action North West (CANW) is an incredible organisation that do amazing work to support the most vulnerable young people across the North West, from their HQ in Blackburn. Their job is challenging enough under ordinary circumstances, never mind the national emergency we find ourselves within. To be able to continue their work, they - and other local charitable organisations - really need our support right now. Our vulnerable young people's needs don't end because we cannot go out... we must ensure they can still be heard and now more than ever, we need people like CANW to have the resources to be able to listen.
Now, if you're reaching a certain age like I have, you'll understand that hair (...or an increasing lack of!) can become quite the distraction. That's why I am willing to 'go bold and go bald' to get the message out and raise some much needed funds with your kind support. On Saturday 4th April, my family will take great pleasure in switching on the clippers and shaving all my hair off for charity... therefore, we'd be thrilled if you could make a donation to CANW, to enable them to keep making a huge difference to those most in need.
"In a world where we can choose to be anything... choose to be kind."
Thank you.
