Earlier this year my girlfriend Helen's Grandad Jim unfortunately died of heart faliure after suffering several heart attacks during his life. Jim was a wonderful man who is truly missed by many and we soon decided to run the Great North Run in his memory.

A number of other family members and friends have also been affected by heart disease so between us we hope we can raise as much money as possible for this very worthy cause and maybe make a few people proud of us too!
