Story
This page has been set up in the memory of Steve Mould who died on Sunday 25 April suddenly, he was a much loved brother and also father to Josh, Zoe and Lola.
From his late 20’s onwards his passion was for the outdoors and high level sporting events. He ran various marathons across the country, entering iron man competitions and triathlons, he also ran in the elite runners 2 years in a row at the London Marathon. He then went on to represent Britain in the World Quadrathlon Championships in Spain, and if that wasn’t enough canoed from Northampton to Hunstanton all of these times raising money for different charities.
As we know sports and outdoor events were Steve’s passion we have found a charity in his memory that we feel he would be keen to support, Sports Connections Foundation, Peterborough is a charity that uses sport to help and inspire children, making dreams come true for children facing life threatening illnesses.
They are proud to have engaged with over 550,000 children and young people through four established programmes.
They make dreams come true for children facing life-threatening illnesses by helping them meet their favourite sports personality. They offer mentoring sessions, positive play & therapeutic Intervention, Theme Positive Activity and School Holiday Programmes helping to develop more positive futures for children across the UK. Also they use sport and education to guide children away from a life of poverty working Internationally to bring much needed relief & hope to some of the poorest children on the planet.
We feel Steve would approve of our choice of charity and hope you will donate in his memory giving support to this amazing charity.
