Story

Hi there,

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I cannot quite believe it myself, but I am running the Birmingham Half Marathon this year. Again. Like the last years I'll be raising money for Alzheimer’s Society because until the day we find a cure, we need to create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice. That's exactly what Alzheimer's Society is doing. So please donate some money. Every penny counts!

To make this a bit interesting, I'll be doing a sweepstake. When donating your money you can bet on my finishing time. There will be two chances for you to win! The bet that is closest to my actual finishing time will win a nice bottle of Whiskey (Single Malt). The bet that is farthest away will win a pair of socks, i.e. the actual socks which I was wearing on the day (don't worry, I'll wash them before sending). To give you an orientation, my best HM time was 1h 35 min 11sec, my worst 1h 48min 36sec. Good luck!

Cheers, Simon
