My journey at CTU has been transformative. Since I started in 2016, I have taken some courses that have enlightened my faith and knowledge in Theology.

A significant value I have learned and is much needed in the Church and the world today is authentic listening. It begins by listening to the voices of the marginalized and those in need as Jesus Christ did. Thanks to your help, I can learn this important lesson in ministry. Besides, these classes made me a better servant at my parish, where I have been doing several ministries for many years, such as the group of "Los Angelitos" Little Angels, who are children and youth with physical and mental disabilities. With this scholarship, I have the opportunity to learn more about my faith and bring the knowledge back to my Latino community.

By awarding me the Oscar Romero Scholarship, you have lightened my financial burden, which allows me to focus more on the most important aspect of school, learning! More importantly, it gives me the time to integrate my education into my calling as a leader in the Church. Your generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to the community.  I hope one day I will help students achieve their goals just as you have helped me.
