We all have our own sad stories to share of family, friends and colleagues whose lives have been affected - and sometimes lost - because of cancer. Just this year I've seen friends, family and respected colleagues battling this dreadful disease, and cried tears of regret and anger for precious lives lost.
As an individual, I feel pretty helpless. But collectively, the money we're able to donate to Cancer Research UK makes a tangible difference. So I'll be walking 26 miles overnight on 24 September, taking on Shine, the marathon night walk, to help Cancer Research UK fund their life-saving work.
Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there.
Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
