Story
I’ve been deliberating on how I can be of service during this time. I may not be a key worker but I have this urge to help in some shape or form. I’ve also been trying to muster up the courage to take my yoga teaching online and have now decided to take the plunge and combine the two.
As we’ve gone into lockdown my thoughts have gone, primarily, to those for whom staying at home isn’t the safest option. The current pandemic means women and children’s mobility is constrained further, their economic vulnerability is increased and the challenges they have always faced in escaping an abuser are exacerbated.
I’m offering Yoga classes via Zoom on a donation basis where 100% of all proceeds will go directly to supporting @glasgowwomensaid. No donation is too small - give what you can and if you can’t, join anyway.
If I can help you carve out some time in your day to be present and not get distracted by what’s going on around us and if in turn we can, collectively, help support a great charity I think it can only be a positive thing.
