Story
Hi, Shona-the-tartan-terror here!
If you haven't already heard I completed the Balmoral Road Race 1.5k primary school event. My time was 8 mins 40 sec. It was a dodgy start to the day but the sun did make an appearance and we had a great time pick-nick-ing and watching the races. All the runners in our group finished their respective races with no injuries which was a bonus as well as a surprise! (ps I've changed the photos so have a look). Remember, this Highland Dancer did it in her Kilt for Friends of Roxburghe!
THANK YOU so much for your support and if you don't already know the background to the story please read on:
On 24 April 2010 some of mum's friends are running the Balmoral 2.5k; 5k and 10k to raise money for Friends of Roxburghe House Grampian where family friend, Cathy Turriff, spent her last weeks being looked after last year. Cathy's family were overwhelmed by the support they received whilst their mum was in Roxburghe's care.
I've decided to join in and raise some dosh too so look out for me at the Balmoral Road Race's primary school event (1.5k race) - I'll be the one in the red kilt with number 507 on my vest!
