World Hunger Day
Campaign by The Hunger Project UK (RCN 1164839)
After decades of progress, hunger is on the rise. Despite producing enough food to feed everyone, more than 800 million people go hungry. Sunday 28 May is World Hunger Day, an opportunity for all of us to play our part in ending world hunger.

Story

On 4th June I will be doing a firewalk to raise money for The Hunger Project UK.

Following almost a decade of positive progress, now the climate crisis, the impact of COVID-19 and conflicts around the world have driven hundreds of millions of people into food insecurity and poverty, leaving 1 in 3 people around the world without access to adequate food.

I’m a member of Unleashed Women, an amazing collective of women who have come together to collectively raise money for @TheHungerProjectUK to support their global mission and grassroots projects to end world hunger and poverty within the next decade.

The Hunger Project believes in a hand up approach rather than a handout. It works to empower women and men, and unlock their capacity, creativity and leadership so they can end their own hunger.

Please help me raise money for this important organisation. And please share if you can!

Thank you :-)
