Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So, the big 50 is less than 50 days away for me, its kind of scary in one way, but in another just a number.
I am in fact over the last few years, enjoying life more so than ever before, re training to become a fitness professional - was a massive decision, but the enjoyment of helping others reach their potential and change their lifestyle is so rewarding.
I guess the biggest and bestest (a word) decision over the last few years for me personally was stopping smoking - it opened up a whole new world of possibilities and opportunities & I have never looked back.
Running has also been a huge feature in the last few years, I'm still a novice, coming back from injury 2013 was my first full running year - its amazing what a buzz you can get from long runs & races, just the ability to push yourself both mentally and physically - no matter how tired I feel, it always makes me smile - to know I've done something which a few years ago I would have though impossible. So this weekend I'm heading for Marathon no 9, in a few weeks time 5/6th July I will be running Marathons over 2 consecutive days with Enigma Running - I wanted to do 50miles in celebration of 50 years, not quite ready to do all in one go, so hopefully will complete spread over 2 days (some joker David Lewis did point out I could just do 50km DOH)
In pushing myself for this challenge, it would be fantastic if I could also raise some money for Willen Hospice, I'm incredibly grateful to Willen for their help when we most needed it, they do a fantastic job! So if you can spare some cash, please sponsor me and I promise to haul ass around that lake one way or another xx
