Story
On September 27th and 28th, Team Circle K will run from the Irish Sea coast in Dublin to the Atlantic coast in Galway, covering approximately 214 kilometres in total, in aid of Pieta House. The run will be in relay format, with each participant running 10-kilometre segments. Each of our 9 Circle K team members will run over 40 kilometres in total, completing the equivalent of a marathon distance within 24 hours.
Our team was inspired to complete this challenge in the wake of losing our dear friend and colleague Derek Nolan earlier this year. We aim to raise awareness of mental health in Ireland and raise much needed funds for the fantastic work and support Pieta provide through their services.
Please support our team by spreading the word and donating what you can for a very worthy cause.
Pieta No More Silence Campaign:
No more silence. Pieta believe suicide prevention must be a priority. 1 in 5 people have suicidal thoughts, and nearly 500 people in Ireland die by suicide every year. It doesn’t have to be this way.
And while we shout for change, we’ll remain here 24/7 to help anyone who needs us. Last year, we spent over 3 million minutes having potentially life-saving conversations, and we answered 75,000 calls and 25,000 texts asking for help. You can help too.
Make some noise with Pieta. Donate and advocate to make suicide prevention a priority:
Advocate: Know the signs of suicide so you can talk openly about suicide prevention in your community. Talking can help save lives.
Donate: Help us help more people.
