Story
We are 7 friends, Mike, Sharron, Amy, Jon, Kath, Nic and Jodie, supported by 3 doggy mascots, Tyke, Norman , who all believe passionately that homelessness in 2022, is an unacceptable pandemic, both on the streets of Liverpool and across cities of the UK. We are committed to giving up our time, bodies and fears! to undertake challenges that will test us all individually, in a bid to raise sponsorship money that will provide support for the fantastic work undertaken at The Whitechapel Centre, the leading homeless charity for the Liverpool region. Our challenges include an abseil down the 150ft high Liverpool Cathedral, sleeping out for a night in the open air of the city centre, and walking the length of Liverpool Waterfront, to match the distance walked each day by homeless outreach workers. These are amongst other activities we have planned throughout 2022. We humbly ask for your support and generosity, in order to help those in society, far less fortunate than ourselves. Thank you x
The Whitechapel Centre is a leading homeless and housing charity for the Liverpool region. We work with people who are sleeping rough, living in hostels or struggling to manage their accommodation. We are committed to help people to find and maintain a home and learn the life skills essential for independent living. We work with over 4,000 people a year. Our projects reflect the diverse routes into and out of homelessness. A variety of services, in different settings, compliment each other and ensure no one slips through the net of support.
