Story
To raise money for Jamies Farm, https://jamiesfarm.org.uk, I will be walking weekly. Join me in raising money for them by walking with me, virtually, that is, wherever you live. Get out for a weekly walk, whenever you want - you decide where and how long you get out for. Toddlers to centenarians. Tell your friends that you are joining the effort, they can walk themselves, and we can all donate on this JustGiving page weekly, monthly, at the end or a one-off donation. Together we can make a real difference.
Some words from Jamie’s Farm: we are so appreciative of anyone who finds a way to raise much needed funds and hugely grateful to all those who sponsor them. Social and academic exclusion are serious problems affecting young people in the UK today. Only 1% of permanently excluded children get the five good GCSEs needed to access post-16 training. Excluded children go on to make up the majority of the prison population. With your help we can make a difference.
Chance, poem by Adele, aged 15
I was gifted the chance to be part of something worthwhile. Given the chance to experience a new lifestyle. Who would have known it could change my life. From being around new surroundings, nature and wildlife. Being part of something unique makes you realise. There’s more to life than what you feel on the inside. The chance to be outta my comfort zone. The chance to smile, instead of moan. The chances we were given was something unique. Now realising I can stand up and speak. My own thoughts on how I’m feeling. The emotions I’ve started revealing. I don’t think I’ll ever be the same. I’ve changed and I’m proud of the person I’ve become. That chance was something fun, something new. It was a privilege and I’d like to say thank you!
